Auction Details

Our virtual silent auction will be OPEN from Friday, April 30 to Friday, May 7. There are a wide variety of items available. Proceeds benefit our scholars. While some items are local to Chicago, participants from across the U.S. are encouraged to participate in our auction as we can ship prizes!

Winners will be contacted the week of May 10 to coordinate shipment or drop-off of their items. Some items, such as certificates and e-gift cards, will be sent to winners via email. Other items will be dropped off or shipped based on the winner's location. If the winner prefers, they can also pick up their item(s) from our Middle School building the week of May 10 or the week of May 17 (exact dates and time blocks will be communicated out to winners). For large & heavy items that need to be shipped, a shipping fee may apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where's the livestream?

A: Check out the presentation page at http://e.givesmart.com/events/jBV/page/live/ or our YouTube link at https://youtu.be/OQtbExbpv0g to watch the livestream!

Q: I am having technical issues with the livestream!

A: Ensure you are on our presentation page or YouTube page (https://youtu.be/OQtbExbpv0g). Please try refreshing your page. If you are still having tech issues, please call or text our team at 952-356-7377; we're standing by to help you!

Q: How do I bid on an item?

A: Register on our site (scroll up and click "Register for Free"). Then, go to the "Items" tab at the top of your screen.

On the Items page, you can view by category, scroll through all items, or search a specific term directly.

Select an item of interest to view the full description as well as the current bid.

The system will auto-populate the next highest bid. You can use this amount or enter a larger amount.

If your bid is accepted, you will receive a box congratulating you.

You can also click "Auto Bid" to let the system for you. In this situation, you will let the system bid up to a certain amount. If no one bids against you, it won't place any bids.

You will receive a text message if you are outbid at any time on any item (assuming you opted into texts when you signed up). You will also see a banner across the upper right corner of the item to tell you if you are "Winning" or "Losing" an item.

This video also details how to bid.

Q: Are the Winner's Raffle options also listed as auction items?

A: No, the Winner's Raffle options are exclusive to the raffle. The winner will choose one of those experiences; the rest will not be sold in our auction.

Q: What are the "Available for Purchase" Items?

A:  We have made a few items available for instant purchase. These items are themed for our event; two are posted with the price honoring our graduates ($2021) and two are educational/college themed. We encourage you to check these out!

Q: I want to donate an item back to Chicago Collegiate's students or staff. How do I do that?

A: That's very kind; thank you! Please notify us of this intention when we reach out about your win.

Q: Will there be a live auction portion of the virtual livestream event on May 6?

A: No, we are only hosting a silent, virtual auction this year.

Q: How will you contact me about the items I won?

A: We will use the contact information that you submitted with your registration. When we reach out, we will confirm your email address and/or mailing address. Please respond to our confirmation to ensure we coordinate efficient delivery of your items! In select cases, we will connect you directly with the donor to coordinate scheduling your win (i.e. sailing, Michigan house, etc.).

Q: I have another question not listed here. Who do I ask?

A: Please reach out to Madeline at [email protected]!
